Foundation stone laid in Torfeld Süd Aarau

Aarau/Lucerne, 7 July 2011 - In the presence of numerous guests from the
worlds of politics and commerce, the foundation stone for the first
building at Torfeld Süd was laid today. The Polygon is to be the new
headquarters of Rockwell Automation AG. The beginning of construction also
marks the transition from the long-term intensive planning phase towards
the creation of a lively new city district in the immediate sur-roundings
of Aarau railway station.

Torfeld Süd is to see the creation of a high-quality, socially sustainable,
energy-efficient urban district that will be characterised by the diversity
of its functions, inhabitants and visi-tors. As part of its sustainability
drive, Mobimo aims to have the district awarded the German Quality Seal for
Sustainable Building (DGNB certification), a first in Switzerland. The
district will, of course, also comply with the Minergie standard.

The Polygon demonstrates the clear commitment of Rockwell Automation and
Mobimo Holding to Aarau. Mobimo is investing in a high-quality and
sustainable office building for which Rockwell has signed a rental
agreement until 2022. The building will be constructed over 1,700 square
metres of floor space and will have five storeys and a basement. Around 220
attractive workspaces will be created for employees working in the areas of
Finance, HR, IT, Sales, Marketing, Operations and Quality over a floor
space of over 4,000 square metres. The investment volume for Polygon stands
at around CHF 23m. The construction of this building will allow
construction to begin on the rest of the site.

The remaining sites are to have a high proportion of residential property
and Mobimo is pursuing the concept of emphasising the construction of
rental apartments, which it will re-tain in its investment portfolio. This
is in line with the company's desire to expand the resi-dential component
of its portfolio in a targeted manner. Aeschbach Hall, which must be
re-tained on the site, will in future have an important community-building
function and will be refurbished to become an 'Innovative District Centre'
with restaurants, seminar rooms and studios as well as space for cultural
events. As such, it will form the very heart of the district. Mobimo will
also create a public park on an area of around 5,000 m2 between site 2 and
site 4.

In May, Mobimo launched a comprehensive study project in close
collaboration with the city, involving renowned architectural firms. The
mission statement for the new district is 'diversity'. The programme will
thus focus on subjects such as sustainability and energy efficiency,
high-quality architecture and social diversity. The product spectrum runs
from large family apartments through one-bedroom lofts to city villas and
innovative town houses, all held under commonhold.  In total, around 200
new apartments will be built.

GastroSocial, the pension fund concentrating on the catering industry, will
invest in part of the plot and plans, together with Mobimo, to create a
high-quality high-rise building as the icon of the new urban district. On
completion, the building will be used by GastroSocial, and thus ensure the
continuing vitalisation of the area.
