Press release
Mobimo Tower opens its doors
Zurich, 11 August 2011 - After two and a half years of construction, the
Mobimo Tower will be opening its doors on 15 August 2011. With a height of
81 metres and featuring 24 storeys, the elegant tower block designed by the
renowned Basel architects Diener & Diener is a new landmark on the Zurich
West skyline. Upon completion, the new Renaissance Zurich Tower Hotel will
open its doors to the public. The first residents of the apartments in the
top nine storeys will move in during the autumn. The investor and client
who has given its name to the CHF-250-million structure is Mobimo Holding
AG. The hotel will be operated by the SV Group as a franchisee of Marriott

Zurich's District 5 is in a state of flux. The extensive construction work
in Zurich West is moving apace, creating a new profile for the former
industrial district. It is turning into an urban mix of somewhere to live,
work and go out, featuring innovation, structural variety and cultural
diversity. Right in the middle, the Mobimo Tower is a new landmark on the
horizon. On the first 15 storeys, the tower is home to the Renaissance
Zurich Tower Hotel, an exclusive designer hotel. On the top nine storeys,
right up to the penthouse, luxurious freehold apartments can be found.
The 81-metre-high Mobimo Tower, situated on a 1400-square-metre plot, is
the product of Basel architects Diener & Diener, who took their inspiration
from the Chicago skyscrapers built around 1900. The polygonal shape in
particular is unusual for Zurich.

Living above the Zurich rooftops - service included
The top nine storeys of the Mobimo Tower are home to exclusive freehold
apartments. The generously proportioned apartments offer their inhabitants
not only first-class fittings and unique details, but also a fantastic view
of the city, lake and mountains. The 53 apartments range in size from
approximately 88 square metres to 304 square metres. The apartments are
accessed via a separate entrance and individual lifts.

Whilst the exterior façade of the Mobimo Tower is striking with its
cladding of Travertino Romano natural stone, inside it is the dark oak
floors, contrasting with the light walls, that capture the attention. The
fixtures, fittings and décor of the individual apartments are of
superlative quality in every respect.

However, this new feeling of urban living goes far beyond the exclusive
interiors of the luxury apartments: owners of the apartments in the Mobimo
Tower can take advantage of special packages of services provided by the
in-house hotel. Owners will start moving into their apartments from the
beginning of October. The hotel is opening on Monday, 15 August 2011.

'The development, construction and marketing of the Mobimo Tower has been a
great challenge in every respect for everyone involved. In some areas we
entered uncharted territory, so we are even happier with the extremely
successful result,' says Christoph Caviezel, CEO of Mobimo.

Spend the night with a view over Zurich
The Renaissance Zurich Tower Hotel has a total of 300 top-quality designer
rooms. In addition to the hotel itself, the Equinox restaurant, the Lucid
American bar and Vivid, the tapas bar, as well as a terrace lounge on the
ground floor, guests also have access to over 1000 square metres of
professionally equipped conference rooms. Moreover, the conference area has
a terrace that connects directly to three event rooms. The interiors are
the brainchild of renowned interior designer Claudio Carbone, whose design
concept refers to Zurich West's history as an industrial district.

'Our guests can experience the counterpoint of industry and culture that is
such a feature of the Zurich West district from the foyer all the way
through to the individual rooms in an exclusive world of design,' says
Philippe Echenard, CEO of the SV Group. All the materials have been chosen
with durability, quality and good Swiss craftsmanship in mind. All the
furniture is made of oak and was designed especially for the Renaissance
Zurich Tower Hotel. The colour scheme of greys, gold-brown and beige tones
is a homage to typical Swiss discretion.
The Renaissance Tower Hotel has an exceptional range of rooms; with 276
standard rooms, 11 Junior Suites, 11 Executive Suites, a Grand Suite with
an area of around 89 square metres and a Presidential Suite with around 136
square metres on the 15th floor. The high ceilings and broad, panoramic
windows in all the hotel rooms underline the spaciousness and offer
residents a unique view of the city. The hotel's own fitness zone and
wellness area is situated on the 15th floor, which also accommodates the
Executive Lounge. The latter is open 24 hours a day and offers guests a
wide selection of food and drinks.

Located right in the urban city centre of Zurich, the Renaissance Zurich
Tower Hotel is ideally situated with excellent public transport connections
(tram, bus and urban railway). The hotel's location also guarantees easy
access to and from the airport and the major arterial roads. Guests
arriving in their own car can use the building's own underground car park.
The central location, ease of access and the wide range of conference
facilities and bedrooms make the hotel the ideal conference venue.

The Renaissance Zurich Tower Hotel is operated by the SV Group as a
franchisee of Marriot International. The manager is Peter Schickling, who
has many years' experience in the hotel trade and, until recently, was the
manager of the Charles de Gaulle Airport Marriott Hotel in Paris. He and
his 140 members of staff will ensure that the guests feel right at home.

In addition to the Courtyard by Marriott Hotels in Zurich and Basel, the
Renaissance Zurich Tower Hotel is the third hotel that the SV Group runs
for Marriott International, with two more openings imminent in Munich in
the autumn.
